Are You Familiar With the Gate Valve?

The prosperity of the valve industry has been shown on many aspects. In fact, a great variety of valves have been making their contributions to the development of the modern industry. The gate valve, as an important member of the valve family, has done a lot of favors at shutting off the flow in many fields. It brings benefits for the daily life indeed. For example, the water faucet is the very common type of the popular gate valve.
Actually, the water faucets in many houses have a handle, which is used to control the inside flow. Generally speaking, a gate valve is designed with an actuator and a gate. The actuator can be a lever, a hand wheel or an electric motor. Each is expected to take the controlling performance to be more convenient with the placed condition. And the gate usually refers to a rectangular or circular piece of metal, whose up and down determines the passing or no Gate Valve passing of the flow.
When the handle of the water faucet is turned counterclockwise, the flow is allowed to go. At this moment, the gate of the water faucet raises. And when the handle of the water faucet is turned clockwise, the flow is stopped by the dropping of the gate. What else, some types of the helpful gate valves are used in many industrial settings by an electric motor. The signals can be send by a human or computer, or automatically, perhaps by a timer.
Despite the water faucet in many houses, gate valve are designed and manufacture in a wide range of proper specifications so as to meet various requirements. But it should be mentioned that all the gate valves are not suitable for regulating the flow. They are not designed to control the flow by partially opening and closing the gate. Otherwise, performance and efficiency can not be ensured. And excessive pressure is harmful to the valve gasket. It would greatly reduce the seal performance. When there is leakage, try to repair or replace in time.
