Bohme Boutique To Be Named in the Inc. 500

Vivien and Fernanda Bohme, two sisters from Rio de Janeiro, first opened a temporary Bohme Boutique in Fashion Place Mall for the holidays in 2007. They were aiming to sell clothing around the idea of "sexy modesty" aimed at Mormon women. "When we opened our shop, everybody but Mormons came, a Playboy bunny came, all sorts of dancers," Vivien Bohme said. "Of course, LDS people would come, but it wasn't enough." They had the sexy part down, but the rest of the concept wasn't working. That's when the Bohme sisters noticed when they women's coats displayed denim, "it would fly out of the store," so they adjusted their strategy to focus on sexy modest denims and tees. Today, Bohme Boutique has over 16 physical locations mainly focused in the Mid West regions, with heavy focus in Utah.

With plans to have 40 stores open nationwide by 2014, Vivien and Fernanda Bohme plan to stay on the Inc. 500 list, and continue proving that Women Owned Businesses are a huge part of America's economy.

Many expectant parents are returning to the tradition of waiting to find out the sex of their baby. Celebrities like Melissa Joan Hart, Chris Hemsworth, and Gisele have decided to go back to tradition and be surprised with their baby's gender at delivery. Baby Riddle offers a solution to keep the baby's gender a surprise and avoid neutral baby clothes.

Being prepared is one of the reasons parents choose to find out the gender of their baby during pregnancy. Baby Riddle has come up with a solution to give parents the opportunity to keep the gender a surprise and avoid purchasing the hum-drum, neutral colored clothing.

Their process is quite simple and makes the surprise even better for the expectant parents knowing that a box of boy or girl clothes will show up at their due date. The consumer prints out an authorization form from the website http://babyriddle.com and takes it to the ultrasound technician. Then the mom-to-be, or a family member, orders a package of boy or girl clothes from the company.

Baby Riddle then packages the box with all the desired newborn clothing that is gender specific to the expecting parent's ultra sound results, boy or girl. The gift box is shipped three weeks prior to the due date. When the baby is born and the gender is revealed, the mom opens up the gift box to find all her baby's essentials.

Amanda Malyurek, a Baby Riddle customer says, "When my husband and I decided to not find out the gender of our baby I knew a lot of greens and yellows were in our immediate forecast. "Baby Riddle" allowed for me to enjoy the excitement of not finding out the gender without the stress of having to worry about getting appropriate clothing immediately after birth. Knowing that cute, unique, high quality, gender specific clothing would arrive for my baby to show off in after delivery made the anticipation and excitement that much better!"

The company was founded to keep the tradition and excitement of keeping the baby's sex a surprise and have colorful gender-specific clothes too.

Premier New Orleans Plastic Surgeon Prepares for Conference

Michele Cooper, M.D., a plastic surgery specialist serving the New Orleans area, is a great example of a plastic surgeon who combines state-of-the-art technology with dedication and compassion for the men and women who come to her practice. This is evidenced by her upcoming participation in Plastic Surgery The Meeting, her recent addition of the VECTRA? 3-D imaging system to her practice, and her sponsorship of BRA Day USA.

Plastic Surgery The Meeting is a conference that brings medical manufacturers together with physicians and aesthetic specialists from around the world. At the conference, professionals will have the opportunity to see the latest technology available for both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic enhancements. Dr. Cooper said she is looking forward to the event, which takes place Oct 26–30 in New Orleans.

"It's a thrill to have such a world-class event right here in our own backyard," Dr. Cooper says. "As someone who really strives to offer the best in aesthetic technology for my patients, I can't wait to see the exciting innovations and to hear from pioneers in our field. It's an opportunity t women's jackets o connect with not only New Orleans plastic surgeons but also my colleagues from around the world."

Earlier this year, Dr. Cooper began offering VECTRA 3-D imaging to aid in the cosmetic surgery planning process. Using digital photography and 3-D images, the VECTRA system allows women interested in breast augmentation in New Orleans to "virtually try on" a variety of breast sizes and shapes prior to surgery, Dr. Cooper says.

"You take a new car for a test drive before you buy it. You try on new clothes before you take them to the register. You even sample flavors at the yogurt shop before you fill up your cup," she says. "I think women should be able to preview the results of something as important as breast augmentation."

Another example of Dr. Cooper's commitment to patients is her sponsorship of National Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day, or BRA Day USA, which is Oct. 17. Dr. Cooper and her husband were featured in the October issue of Sophisticated Woman, a Louisiana lifestyle publication, for their efforts to bring awareness to options for breast reconstruction following a mastectomy.

Dr. Cooper's husband, Dr. Scott K. Sullivan, is a co-founder of The Center for Restorative Breast Surgery (http://www.breastcenter.com), which is a national sponsor of BRA Day. Dr. Cooper is a local sponsor.

"Many oncologists and general surgeons are primarily focused on treating the cancer," notes Dr. Cooper. "They don't perform breast reconstruction, so they don't always pass on information about reconstruction to patients. The goal of BRA Day is to encourage better awareness and communication of reconstructive options to cancer patients.

Dr. Michele Cooper (http://www.michelecoopermd.com) is a board-certified New Orleans plastic surgeon performing cosmetic plastic surgery procedures ranging from breast enlargement and liposuction to face lifts and non-invasive treatments for the body and skin. Entrepreneur Label Recently Launched Their Kickstarter Campaign to Motivate and Inspire Individuals to Become Entrepreneurs

The Entrepreneur Label project by Oswald Anthony Harris, a New Jersey based clothing company launched Entrepreneur Label on Kickstarter with a funding goal of 20,000 to fund its very first spring collection for this upcoming spring of 2013 and defray early production cost.

Infused with symbolic images, Entrepreneur Label is a clothing line designed to encourage individuals to become entrepreneurs. Currently on located on their premium snaps are phrases such as "Ambition>" & "Dreams>". Entrepreneur Label uses these symbols to stress the qualities of Ambition and following your dreams. Entrepreneur Label believes clothing can become a tool used to tap into the mind of persevering business men or women. Much stronger than the materials of their clothing is the message embedded in the product itself. Entrepreneur Label sells each product as a symbol of "Ambition>" or "Dreams>". Along with their inspirational clothing, the label hosts a speaking series to educate individuals on the intensive process of Entrepreneurship.

The idea of Entrepreneur Label was conceptualized in Northern, New Jersey by Anthony Harris. To fund the production of the label they turned to Kickstarter, a crowd funding website. Backers on Kickstarter receive pre-produced products from the upcoming spring line. Entrepreneur Label has no intentions on receiving all the credit for these inspirational women's jackets designs, their offering co-designer and co-founder recognition for substantial pledges. Entrepreneur Label intends to reach a funding goal of 20,000 before New Year's Eve of 2012.

"We take our business so seriously, in our current environment not too many people care about owning their own business, or working for themselves. Too many individuals feel comfortable with the norm and we intend to change that with our apparel. Ambition, Dreams, and fear of poverty are some of the main ingredients that create the world's most powerful business owners. Once we reach our Kickstarter goal we will shine the light on those individuals who create the future rather than those who wait for it." says Anthony Harris (Founder).

Entrepreneur Label anticipates the end of the year to fulfill a mission that has been ignored for quite some time now by the fashion industry by inspiring individuals with fashionable symbolism.

Entrepreneur Label- a clothing line designed to inspire, motivate, and encourage individuals to become entrepreneurs. We correlate our clothing essence around the idea of perseverance and achieving against the odds of everyday life.

Walls can talk and they say a lot. Wall decor should be hung so that the center of the piece is at eye level for the average size person. Relate your wall decor size to the wall size. Choose smaller pieces for narrow walls and larger works for big wall spaces. A single large piece makes a statement. It brings focus and helps avoid a cluttered look.

Learn How To Clean Wood Decks

Wood is the most popular choice material for decks. Not only is wood gorgeous, it is also strong, durable, and easy to work with. Wood is vulnerable, however, to moisture damage and should be checked frequently. Deck boards that are split, splintered, cracked, or have raised nails may point to a potential problem with moisture saturation.

Moreover, wood is an absorbent substance, not unlike skin; wood pores can develop clogged and deteriorated conditions. The best way to prevent troubles with your wooden deck is to have it sealed and maintained. Now, let's discuss some different types of woods that are commonly used for decks.

Cedar: The wood from this hefty, coniferous evergreen tree is a trendy favorite for decks. It not only looks beautiful and has a wonderful aroma, it is also enormously durable. The feel of cedar is soft, and the grain of cedar is elaborate and stunning. Cedar produces natural tannins that are said to be naturally defiant to insects.

However, these tannins can spot, especially after it rains, and this carries on until the wood becomes fully acclimatized (three years or so). After a wood deck cleaning the cedar should be sealed. Sealer colors that work predominantly well with cedar are the likely redwood or cedar tinted. These deck sealers allow the natural grain of the cedar to show through, while still protecting the wood through a shielding pigment.

Redwood: Used commonly in timber construction, redwood is (as the name advocates) a reddish colored wood. Besides the color, redwood is very similar to cedar, and is a stylish choice for wooden deck construction.

Pressure Treated Pine: This long-needled tree also has wood that is very common in the building of decks. Pine varies from extremely soft wood, as with the white pine, to very rigid wood, as in the long leaf pine. The term "pressure treated" refers to wood that has been chemically treated to repeal insects and rot. Cedar and redwood are never treated due to their nature, it isn't necessary. The downsides to using pressure treated wood are rapid staining, splitting problems, and inconsistent look due to women's coats online the many chemicals that are in the wood.

As with all woods, it is always a good idea to have your pressure treated deck cleaned and sealed so that these natural problems can be evaded. It's best to hire a company that specializes in pressure washing decks and wood deck restoration. Depending on personal liking, pine works well with any color deck sealer. As with cedar or redwood, there are natural colors that can heighten the natural grain and color of the wood. Advantages of using pine are its versatility, affordability (compared to cedar or redwood) and its dependability.

Wooden decks can be subjected to very severe exposure, plus abrasion and extreme friction from foot traffic. The horizontal surfaces, such as the floor and top hand rails, receive abundant amounts of sunlight and moisture. Continuous swelling and shrinking of the wood severely breaks down any continuous film coating, resulting in cracking, flaking, and peeling.

These deck coatings or sealers are not recommended for these surfaces. Deep penetrating oil based deck sealers are recommended coatings. They require frequent refinishing, but it is an easier task than the scraping and sanding needed to prepare paints, solid stains, and waterborne sealer for refinishing. Latex sealers or paints are to be avoided where water can collect on flat surfaces. Silicone enhanced sealer products should also be avoided.

Coatings fall into one of two categories. Film forming coatings are primers, paints, heavy bodied and solid color sealers which form coat or film over the surface. Penetrating stains, the second category, dive deep into the wood past the surface resulting in very little surface film. This type of penetrating sealer is not prone to cracking, peeling, or flaking like the film forming type.

Oil based penetrating deck sealers to an excellent job of locking out moisture and protecting against harmful UV rays. These types of sealers are normally semi-transparent but can still have a tone or tint added to them in a variety of colors. Therefore, your deck can have a particular color or tone to it, but yet the beauty of the wood grain will still show through. A rule of thumb is the darker the tone of deck sealer, the more sun protection it provides.

Tips For Selling Your Home

Whatever the housing market is doing, there are a number of tips that will always help your house appeal to potential buyers. These are ways to make your home appeal to the greatest number of potential buyers.

First impressions

Your house needs to look great from the very first impression; kerb appeal is critical! Make the front of your house look as good as it can. Plant flowers, trim bushes, weed, pick up leaves, repaint your front door, clean or replace house numbers, park your old car somewhere else.

The front of your house is a good place to spend a little extra time and money. If it looks good, it may even attract passersby.

De-Clutter

Potential buyers need to imagine themselves living in your house. You need to show a blank canvas, in which they can picture their own belongings. Estate agents can tell you stories of potential buyers rejecting a house because they didn't like the DVD collection! Buying a home is an emotional decision; you want potential buyers to make an emotional connection with your home by being able to "see" themselves in it.

Put away everything you don't use on a daily basis. Pack up ornaments, photos and posters in kids' bedrooms. Large pieces of furniture should go into storage; this will make rooms feel much bigger. In the hallway, clear away coats and shoes. In the bathroom, hide all your toiletries. In the kitchen, clear the worktops of appliances, jars and tins and replace any ragged tea towels or grubby bins.

Watch out for over-stuffed wardrobes - yes, people do look in them to check the amount of storage space - so cl women's jackets ear them out.

Clean, clean, clean

Your home must sparkle and smell clean! Getting professional cleaners in can be money well-spent. Have the carpets, curtains, sofa covers and oven cleaned. Make sure your windows are clean inside and out. Pay special attention to the kitchen and bathrooms, which need to be inviting and hygienic. Buy a new toilet seat and some fresh white towels. Clean grubby fingerprints from light switches and doors. Make mirrors sparkle. Add a strategically placed plant or two, or some fresh flowers.

Fix it

Go around the house room by room and make a checklist of all those little jobs which need doing. Fix dripping taps, repair peeling wallpaper, touch up paint chips. If you can't stretch to re-tiling in the bathroom, re-grouting should bring it up like new. A couple of new kitchen doors can really smarten up a tired-looking kitchen.

Leaving these little jobs undone will give the wrong message to potential buyers - that you haven't looked after your house.

Freshen Up

A fresh coat of neutral paint, new tiling or lino, and will transform rooms. Neutral colours may be a little boring to live with, but buyers really do find it easier to imagine themselves living a home where they can't object to your colour scheme; they find it easier to imagine brightening it up, than toning it down!

You can add some character back with a few bright accessories. A new shower curtain in the bathroom, some new cushions in the sitting room, some bright bedlinen on the beds - all these can add a little spark, without detracting from the feeling of light and space.

If you have too many different floor coverings, it can make any area seem smaller. If you can't stretch to replacing all your flooring, close the doors on the other rooms until showing each room in turn.

Pets

Leave pets with a neighbour, and thoroughly clean up any cat hair in particular, as many people are allergic to animal hair. Your beloved pooch may make viewers nervous, or leave a distinctive aroma which won't appeal to the buyers.

The best side

Most properties have good and bad points to them. Don't point out the bad side, or even comment on it. Remember, buyers will only buy what they perceive your house to be worth. If your house is presented at its best, then people will want to live there.

Interior Design Fashion For Walls

When it comes to wall coating, there is an abundance of choices to be had. Interior design has seen an upsurge in popularity over recent years and the home has now become a place to show off your taste and skills in this new area of fashion.

The wall coating you choose will come and go into fashion more often than the choice between big knickers or thongs, bootcuts or skinny jeans. Once you get that hugely patterned, black flock wallpaper up the trend will be for neutral emulsion before the paste has had chance to dry.

As a wall coating, wallpaper has had a long and varied history. From the intricate designs of Victorian patterns through seventies flock that has recently seen a revival, there has also been delicate pastels in stripes, flowers and sometimes a mix of both.

Embossed wallpapers were quite trendy for a while and are still available. They do the job of covering over dodgy cracked plaster and hiding all manner of imperfections. This is then painted to your own preference but I've never seen an embossed paper that didn't cast shadows on itself thus dulling an colour you may add to it.

Emulsion as a wall coating has also enjoyed periods of popularity. Different finishes have been experimented with from eggshell that was hot news for families as it made surfaces washable, through to matt and now one that gives the appearance of a wall coating of dusted chalk. This fashion harks back to Victorian times and many people strive for that authentic look.

One of the best reasons people like to paint their walls with emulsion is the vast possibilities when it comes to colour. Self expression knows no bounds n women's coats ow that we are able to take any object down to the nearest DIY centre and get the colour matched up to put on our walls. Of course, this doesn't guarantee good taste in wall coating but it does allow for individuality.

One of the worst decorating faux pas I have ever seen is that dreadful quick fix that was hailed as a success by the one hour decorating shows on TV. You know the ones, where everything is slapped over with a hideous coloured emulsion and what can't be ripped out is covered with MDF? These were the shows responsible for making us paint over wallpaper. Unless it's lining paper, don't do it. It gives the effect of - well, of painted over wallpaper! The worst wall coating you could possibly have.

And who could forget the dreaded eighties penchant for Artexed walls. What a nightmare! Everybody was slapping Artex on their walls leaving you with a wall coating that had the ability to remove several layers of skin every time you passed by. Of course, this could then be painted with all manner of emulsions. This never helped make it look any better but it made you feel like the job was complete.

The nineties were spent with all different methods of removing Artex being touted through interior design magazines. This is lethal stuff and it seems the best idea is to skim over it with more plaster. Ok, so it takes several inches off the overall size of your room but it makes it look about a foot bigger so you can't lose really.

Of course, wall coatings on the outside of the house are also subject to trends. Rendering, bare brick, painted brick, treated with anti burglar paint, all sorts have been available over the years. I once had neighbours that all looked like in-breds and the multitude of children that lived in that house were a nightmare. They would hang over the fence on a Sunday afternoon and see how far they could spit - and that was just the girls! I painted the top of my fence with non-drying paint and that gave me hours of fun because they didn't know where it was coming from and kept coming back for more!

And who could consider any wall coatings without remembering the dreaded pebbledash or cladding? To coat you house in this is just a sellers nightmare today. It is assumed it is covering up all sorts of damage and decay and never, ever looked nice.

Of course, there are all manner of wall coatings on the market today that claim to do all manner of things for your house. But no doubt this will be a passing phase too.

Special Tips to Get The Right Size Biker Leather Clothing

Get it right the first time you will surely be disappointed if your beautiful leathers arrive and they don't fit correctly. Online is a great place to buy leathers but you want to be sure to get your size right. Making a mistake here may mean sending it back and that means extra costs.

Many biker leather sites have sizing charts and you will use these measurement procedures and the sizing chart to determine your final size.

First: how to measure for the correct size For women Measure around the fullest part of bust under arms with arms relaxed down at sides. For men Chest:Measure around chest just under arms across shoulder blades with arms relaxed down at sides. For Coat/Length: Measure from the highest point of the shoulder down.
Height: Measure from top of head down standing barefoot on a hard flat surface with normal posture.
Hips: Measure around fullest part of body at the top of legs with feet together.
Inseam: Measure from inside crotch seam to the hem of pants that fit you well.
Waist: Measure around natural waistline, which appears as crease when bending to one side.
Neck: Measure around fullest part of neck.
Sleeve: Measure from center back of neck, over point of shoulder, and down outside of arm past elbow to wrist with arm relaxed.

LEATHER JACKETS and VESTS Leather jackets have number sizes that correspond to chest inches. For example, a size 46 jackets would measure 46 inches. It is best to measure your chest while wearing a shirt and then to order the next size higher in a leather jacket or vest. For example, if your chest measures 45-46 inches, then order a Size 48.

To measure, use a standard tape measure and wrap the tape measure around your back, just under your armpits and then loosely across your chest. If your waist size exceeds your chest size, then use your waist measurement and go up one size. You can also supply us with your measurements at the time of the order.

You want to choose a jacket that is big enough for your actual chest measurement. And you want to make sure the size will be big enough for your belly (if you have one). The max belly for any size jacket is approximately 6" less than the jacket size (example: max belly for a 46 is a 40" belly).

Size charts for chaps are listed in most sizing charts. The most important measurement for chaps is the thigh. Using a standard tape measure, measure around the thickest part of your thigh while wearing jeans or pants. Do not order a pair of chaps that are less than your thigh measurement. Each pair of chaps can be adjusted down should your waist size be less than what is listed in the size chart.

If they are going to be worn for cold weather riding put on all of your under garments and then take your measurements.

Helmet size charts are listed women's jackets with the description for each helmet. To measure your head, use a standard tape measure and wrap the tape measure around the back of your head, just above the ears and then across the forehead. If your head size is between two sizes, order the smaller size, as it is better if the helmet fits tighter than too loose.

Please take into account the clothing you will be wearing underneath your jacket or vest when selecting your size. Your shirt size will not necessarily be your jacket or vest size.

In order to provide maximum protection while riding, you should purchase leathers that are designed for your riding style and that fit comfortably and properly.

Please take into account the clothing you will be wearing underneath your vest when selecting your size. Your shirt size will not necessarily be your vest size.

If you have any doubts be sure and send an email describing any questions you may have.

The Secret of Wealth

"The way to wealth is as plain as the way to market -- it depends on two words, industry and frugality; that is, waste neither time nor money, but make the best of both. Without industry and frugality nothing will do; with them everything." -- Franklin.

As a man chooses his coat for its wearing qualities or for the moment's passing whim, so does he choose his destiny. The responsibility and the result lie with the chooser. Each living person chooses--and each hour that passes fixes his choice deeper and deeper in his daily life.

Wealth is a state of mind or perhaps 'twould be better to say that wealth is created through a state of mind. Few people get rich or acquire riches at a single stroke; most people who become rich grow rich, and the growth and development of a personal fortune is sometimes scarcely noted by the busy man or woman, who is thus almost unconsciously growing rich.

The acquiring of money and property, once begun, is a simple and easy process; growing rich comes through habits that are such fixed parts of one's daily life that, once on the road to wealth, it would be quite difficult, if not wholly impossible, to stop the growth*.*

"If you live according to what nature requires, you mill never be poor; if according to the notions of men, you will never be rich. This is especially detrimental to us, that we live, not according to the light of reason, but after the fashion set by others."

These thoughts from Lucius Annaeus Seneca, who was born in Rome before the year One. It is easy to see that the same things kept people poor in those days as in our own time and the principles of living well and happily and gradually acquiring wealth have not changed a whit since the year One.

There is no condition into which a man may come that is more to be feared by the individual and by society than the condition of poverty; it maddens a good man to crime and drives a madman to destruction. The condition of poverty is not a normal one and may quite easily be thrown off by any one who has health and the will of progress. It was Thucydides who said this about 425 B. C.:

"An avowal of poverty is no disgrace to any man; to make no effort to escape it is indeed disgraceful."

Nearly 2,200 years later Oliver Goldsmith said:

"To be poor, and seem to be poor, is a certain way never to rise."

So for women's coats more than 2,000 years, it has been understood that the person, who was poor and let it be known, and made little or no effort to rise above poverty, was largely responsible for his own unhappy condition.

Poverty and pauperism must not be confused; one who has, through misfortune, ill-health or a combination of circumstances, become a pauper may have left to him no avenue of escape. The pauper is to be pitied and to be helped.

The poor are those people who spend more than they get or at least spend all they get; Bruyere put it thus--"He is poor whose expenses exceed his income." If such a condition should obtain long enough, that person would be a pauper; from poverty to pauperism is not a long step; it is only a short slide.

Wealth, ease, comfort and even contentment are within the reach of each one of us, though we all travel different roads toward our selected goals. The paths of some of us lie over mountains where, if we have the strength, we may leap from peak to peak of success, but the many of us, the great multitude, who travel the level plains, must approach success steadily rod by rod, mile by mile, day by day and year by year.

9 Tips For Speed Networking

Have you ever been to a speed dating event? If you have you'll understand the concept of speed networking.

At a speed dating event you get to meet an awful lot of people in a very short space of time and the idea is that first impressions count, if you hit it off with someone and feel that you have things in common then you can meet up again later and take more time to build a relationship.

Speed networking is the business equivalent in that you a given a set period of time (2 or 3 minutes for example) to make initial contact with other business people. Just enough time to exchange basic information about your business and the service that you offer as opposed to an in depth discussion

The positive points about speed networking are that you get the opportunity to meet and exchange business cards with a relatively large number of other business people and at the same the time limit forces you to move on and eliminate the possibility of being stuck talking to the same person for a whole event.

For me, there must also be an infor fashion jackets mal networking session at the end of the event where you can take time to meet again with other people that you felt you were building a rapport with. In this way you can start the relationship building process rather than it just having finished with the exchange of a business card.

In these types of event it's vital to have mastered the art of effective use of business cards. When you finish a session you may well have a pile of cards and find it difficult to be able to put a face to the card at a later date. This is one reason why my business networking tips below are essential to making the most of speed networking and speed dating alike.

1. Before you decide to attend speed business networking events take time to understand the format. Is it all speed networking or is there free networking time too? If you understand the format you'll go better prepared and make more of the event.

2. Part of the above is about understanding how much time you have with every other person. If it's short then you really need to have a well practiced and fine tuned sixty seconds presentation. If you've got a bit longer you can maybe afford to go a little more in depth.

3. You may be required to follow a set agenda in your meetings such as your name, your business sector etc etc. Knowing this in advance will help you practice the right subject matter prior to the event.

4. Speed networking when there is a fixed agenda is a very comfortable way to meet new people so take time to identify those people that you don't already know.

5. Don't be in too much of a hurry to give your pitch, let the other person talk first, in this way if there are any "common areas" that you want to exploit, you can then adapt your pitch to suit.

6. Make good use of business cards. When you exchange cards take time to read aloud what is on the other person's card. The other person will see this as interest on your part but most importantly it will help you remember the face and the name at a later date. You can also use the business card to make notes. This is an important point when designing your own cards – make sure that the background is a light colour so that anyone can make notes on your card.

7. Considering point 6 – don't forget your business cards and a pen!

8. Don't loose time searching through business cards to find your own. Make sure that you have a place for those that you have collected and for your own. I use two separate pockets in my jacket or coat.

9. Finally, if you feel you have something more to say to someone and that there could be a synergy – make it clear! Now is not the time for polite conversation, be direct and let them know that you would like to have a further meeting and propose a date and time.

The Manchester Terrier is a lively, intelligent dog, fast to learn and easy to train. They can be kept in an apartment as they are active indoors and can get by with frequent long walks. A properly fenced in yard is always best for exercise. Keep the Manchester under control or she may chase almost anything that moves. She should be extensively socialized with children, kids and pets at a young age. She was originally bred as a ratter so beware of her with small pets. She can do ok with older, behaved children. As a reminder, never leave a child unsupervised with a puppy or dog.

* Approximate Adult Size. There are two sizes of the Manchester Terrier, Toy and Standard. The Toy size is 10 to 12 inches to the withers (highest point of the shoulder) and 6 to 8 pounds. The Standard size is 15 to 16 inches to the withers (highest point of the shoulder) and 17 to 18 pounds.

*Special Health Considerations. Most dog breeds have certain inherited health problems associated with that specific breed and the Manchester Terrier is no exception. Be on the look out for Von Willebrands disease (a problem with blood clotting), over eating, lens luxation and Glaucoma. This disease list is an informative guideline only. Other diseases may also be significant threats, please contact your veterinarian for a complete list.

She should visit the veterinarian several times in the first year for shots, boosters and check up. Then, as an adult, she should visit the veterinarian yearly for shots and check up. As she gets older, six years and on, she should visit the veterinarian twice a year for check ups and shots. Remember; avoid feeding your dog sweets.

*Grooming. The Manchester Terrier has a short black and tan coat which is shiny and easy care. She should be brushed and rubbed down with a cloth regularly. Brushing will help her maintain a clean and healthy coat and help you keep a closer eye on her health and strengthen your emotional bond with her.

No water or excess fluid should get in the dogs ears, and do not try to irrigate the ears. Ear cleaning is too complicated and critical to instruct here. Look for hair growing in the ear canal, excess wax, or moisture. If her ears have a discharge, foul odor or she seems to be in distress and you suspect an infection, or tumor, consult your veterinarian.

Brushing removes the accumulation of plaque and tartar which can cause cavities (rarely) and periodontal disease. Dog periodontal disease can lead to pain, loss of teeth, bad breath and other serious disease.

Her toenails may need to be examined for growth and clipped regularly. The toenails of the rear feet grow slower than the toenails of the front feet.

Four Fun Projects for the Family

With the help of a responsible adult, any young child can have a lot of fun completing these simple woodcraft projects.

Toy Field Radio

A toy field radio is a very simple and enjoyable project because it gives the child an opportunity to exercise hi fashion jackets s ingenuity by devising his own dials, buttons, switches, and the like to operate the radio.

The "radio" is simply a block of wood of any convenient size to which various odds and ends have been attached. An aerial can be made from a piece of coat hanger or other heavy wire which is stapled to one side of the block. Bottle caps or jar tops may be used to represent ear- and mouthpieces. A strip of leather or plastic linoleum binding material may be nailed to the top and bottom edges of the block for a hand strap. Small bottle caps, upholstery tacks, or buttons may then be added to represent the controls.

Autograph Book

The cover of the autograph book may be made from a divided piece of 1/4-inch plywood. There is a small 2inch strip along the shorter side which is provided with two holes spaced two inches apart. The title "Autographs" may be applied with a wood burner or outlined with paint or a dark crayon. A leather hinge, with holes punched in the positions marked on the pattern, joins the two parts of the cover together. Glue or small tacks may be used to fasten the hinge in place.

The back of the autograph book is a single piece of 1/4-inch plywood with holes corresponding to those in the front cover. Both front and back cover should be given a coat of shellac or clear varnish and allowed to dry thoroughly before the book is assembled.

This autograph book is designed for a small tablet of note paper which may be purchased in any variety store. The "Rainbow" tablets are particularly suited to this purpose. Two holes are punched at the top of the tablet spaced two inches apart.

The book is fastened together with a strip of leather or a length of cord which is threaded through the two holes in the front cover, tablet, and back cover, and then tied at the back.

Beach Sandals

Beach sandals may be cut from 1/2-inch or 3/4-inch white pine or other soft wood. In order to obtain an accurate fit, it is best to use the sole of a tennis shoe.

The strap may be cut from a piece of thin leather or canvas. The foot should be placed on the wooden sandal, and the strap positioned with the concave edge toward the toe. When the proper length and placement of the strap has been determined, the strip is trimmed to size and fastened to the edges of the sandal with tacks.

Rope Printing Stamp

A rope printing stamp may be made by fastening a piece of clothesline to a wooden block with wire staples. The clothesline may be formed into an initial (which must be reversed if it is to print correctly) or any simple design.

A handle is cut from a length of 1-inch dowel, and the block is fastened to the handle with a long finishing nail through the center.

A thin cellulose sponge or a sheet of foam rubber saturated with tempera paint provides a suitable stamp pad. The rope printing stamp may be used to decorate paper place mats, design original wrapping paper, or print Christmas cards.

Your child will have fun with any one of these projects.

Breaking In Womens Wedding Shoes

Wedding shoes is a very important in your special day. We have all had the misfortune of buying a new pair of shoes, then, forgetting to break them in or practice walking in them before the event for which they were purchased. Don't make that mistake with your wedding shoes. Blisters or a turned ankle on your wedding day are not fun. Follow these tips and you will float elegantly (and foot-pain free) through your wedding day.

A few hours' wear around the house will certainly help, but most experts recommend a longer break-in period, especially if you are not accustomed to wearing the type of bridal heel you've chosen. Techniques that have helped others break in their high hells and become comfortable walking in them include:

* To prevent slipping on slick church or reception floors, scuff or put rough tape on the soles.

* Wear your shoes off and on around the house for three or four weeks. This will help break them in gradually.

* For an even better breaking in, start with wearing your wedding shoes an hour at a time while you complete light chores inside. (Avoid the outdoors; you don't want to soil the shoes.) When the shoes are comfortable after an hour's wear, begin keeping them on until they hurt. Gradually increase the time over a month until you can wear your bridal shoes for several hours with no blisters.

Practicing Moving and Walking

If you are uncomfortable with walking in heels, take this opportunity to practice while breaking in your shoes. Here are some tips for learning different maneuvers.

Skirting obstacles

Invariably, there will be a few surprises on your wedding day that will require a bit of quick-stepping: a child will fall in your way, or you will have to move around a mess or rain puddle, for example. Avoiding these obstacles will require stepping sideways, altering your stride, or even moving backwards without stumbling. Practice these moves at various speeds until you can confidently complete them in your heels. As an added bonus, if you plan to wear your high heels at the reception, these same motions will prepare you for the dance floor.

Turning

Because your back will be "on stage" facing your guests during the ceremony, you must be able to gracefully turn before walking back down the aisle after the finale - when your groom kisses you for the first time. Depending on your ceremony, you may not need to make a full 180-degree turn; but, by practicing a full turnaround, you will be prepared for all eventualities.

Imagine it is your wedding day and you are facing the person who is conducting the ceremony. First, pivot halfway around, so that both feet, as well as your body, are facing your new husband, and your weight is on the leg closest to the officiant. Complete the turn by stepping toward the aisle with the foot closest to your guests. At that point, you will be facing your guests and can safely continue walking back down the aisle. If you would like visual demonstrations, study fashion models as they turn at the end of runways. A search on YouTube or other video Websites will provide several examples.

Walking up and down stairs

Falling, as you walk up or down steps, can mean much more than an embarrassing moment. To avoid an unscheduled trip to the emergency room, get plenty of practice before your wedding day. When at all possible, hold on to a railing for added support and balance. Whether you are ascending and descending, be sure the entire sole and heel of your shoe are completely over the stair before placing your foot. As you go up the stairs, place your sole and heel on the stair at the same time. As you go down, focus on firmly placing your sole on each step.

If you follow the above tips for breaking in and walking in your bridal heels, your feet will thank you with a women's coats pain-free wedding day!

Useful Guides While Washing the Top Coats

How do I use the automatic wash for the wash and wear suits? Here are some guides which can be useful for you. In this article you will find some tips on how to clean the stains on the top coats.

IF A TUMBLE DRYER IS USED for these suits it should be set at low to medium (140-160?° F.). Tumble for twenty to forty minutes, using the "wash-and-wear" cycle if you have it. Remove the suit immediately at the end of the drying cycle and put it on hangers. Best results with dryers have been obtained in those of an exhaust or vented type that have a cooling period during the last part of the cycle. In any case, high temperatures are to be avoided.

TO DRIP DRY "AUTOMATIC SUITS they may be taken out before the final spin, or they may be hand washed and allowed to drip dry. Smooth the collars, cuffs, lapels, and seams while the garments are wet. If pressing ultimately becomes necessary use a steam or dry iron, set for rayon, and a damp press cloth.

SUCH SUITS ARE DRY CLEANABLE TOO, and this is advised if they accumulate stubborn stains or soil. Tell your dry cleaner what the material is.

EVEN TOPCOATS OF THE NEW FIBERS can go into the washing machine today. If the maker's tag says your 100 per cent Orion or nylon fleece coat is washable it means just that. Whether you wash the coat by hand or machine the general instructions are the same. Pretreat spots and stains; use plenty of warm water with a strong detergent, or soap with a water softener; no twisting or wringing, and give a thorough rinsing. Take it dripping wet from the last rinse water and put it on a strong hanger to dry.

If you use a machine, use the highest water level possible and a low temperature setting (100?° R). Wash the coat for five to seven minutes. Remove it before the water extraction cycle begins and let it drip dry.

FOR MACHINE DRYING let the coat go through the complete wash cycle to remove excess water, or if it has been hand washed, let it drip until most of the water has been removed. Then place the coat in the dryer at the lowest temperature setting available and let it tumble until it reaches the damp dry stage. Then remove it immediately and put it on a hanger. Shape the collar, cuffs, and seams.

SOILED NYLON AND ORLO fashion coats online N COATS can also be dry cleaned, and this is advised for those that have acquired severe soil or stains.

VERY TOUGH AND DURABLE WEAVES are being produced today by combining Dacron and Orion fibers with rayon. These materials are acid-resistant, shrinkproof and colorfast, and they wash ready to wear. Among clothing made of them are smart looking uniforms for gas station attendants. If washing instructions were not given, use this procedure recommended by the Du Pont Company: after pretreating spots and areas of severe soil, put them into the washing machine at a temperature setting higher than that recommended for most synthetics (120?° F.) and wash them with a heavy duty soap. Du Pont textile experts say that soap, in their opinion, does a better job on grease stains.

Topcoats can go to washing machine. Before putting them in the washing machine, we need to pretreat spots and stains; use plenty of warm water with a strong detergent, or soap with a water softener. Use the lowest temperature while drying the coats in the drying machine. Pre-treating oil and grease stains with a solvent, and applying detergent paste to especially soiled areas, wash using strong detergent or soap with softener. If you are using tumble dryer, you can set at a low to medium.
